This is probably the Mount Pleasant sorting
office, which was in a former prison. See www.postalheritage.org.uk/exhibitions/mountpl

which has photos that show similar lights.
23 Февраль 2010, 23:00 ART NAHPRO I visited Mount Pleasant Sorting Office in 1978 or so to see the famous Post Office Underground railway in operation . It linked the main sorting offices with London train stations. In Victorian times it was a pneumatic train, driven by compressed air. In te 1970s it was electric .The post office was huge then too hundreds of sorting staff coming and going. Amazing place.

Hall on Liverpool Road, which is now the
Business Design Centre (which, rather
confusingly is on Upper Street - they built a
new entrance at what was the rear of the
existing building).
