Stitched in Photoshop from four hand held shots with my 85mm lens. The view is from just south of Tower Bridge.
The More London estate, with the GLA building, is toward the left, the City of London stands across the Thames to the right. Buildings by the architect Norman Foster are somewhat prominent across the scene.
I've uploaded a higher-res-than-normal large image for this one (2048 pixels wide).

02 Декабрь 2009, 02:18 Eric Flexyourhead Excellent panorama, Rob!
02 Декабрь 2009, 06:57 Kwozie A few more Foster's in construction in this region too! I'm looking into what fixed lenses to get at present. Mostly based on what you've been shooting with them!
02 Декабрь 2009, 23:13 Liam G. Tight crop -- in every senseVery nice angle....got 2 major landmarks. I guess St. Paul's is hidden behind the city hall?anway......sweet shot xD
03 Декабрь 2009, 20:37 cybertect Not so long ago it seemed you had to go to the wilds of East Anglia to see a Foster building in the UK, now you almost trip over one on every street corner in London :-D
04 Декабрь 2009, 02:48 ( gio_foto ) / John Sanderson Wow, the large resolution one is great, you're very good at hiding the stitching, I can't actually see anything, the only obvious thing is the distortion on the obviously straight building on the left whereas with the rounded buildings you don't see it, but I'm not blaming that on you aha!Shame that while they spent so much time designing such incredible buildings, they completely forgot the land surrounding them, that green in the foreground just ruins the view for me, especially with those god awful wooden railings. Again not your fault, and had you chosen to crop them out, the photo would've suffered!
05 Декабрь 2009, 02:38 cybertect The green bit at the front has its future being decided at the moment. It's part of Potter's Field, most of which is a park, but there's also some building land that's had a few schemes fall through including an Ian Ritchie design and a new home for the Design Museum mooted at the end of last year. Negotiations between Southwark Council and Berkeley Homes ongoing.Blow-by-blow history of the last couple of years here
