Stephen B Whatley on location in London in 1999 painting a view, from Green Park, of Buckingham Palace; commissioned by The Royal Collection .
The complete painting was reproduced on advertisements, in tube trains, to promote the Summer Opening of the Palace; both in 1999 and 2000. The title was inspired by the performance of Changing The Guard which took place in the forecourt, early during the painting.
The original now hangs in Buckingham Palace.
