Last week I had a tough training course in London. The entire week was rather busy and not everything was positive. But having taken this shot makes everything seem rather 'whatever' to me! I love it! The view from the training room, on the 27th floor in a building near Victoria station, was absolutely fantastic!

08 Ноябрь 2009, 10:25 m starling I like the illustrative style of the exposure. The lights seems very soft while the contrast is very high. Is there a special trick to this or is it just down to the camera settings and quality of lens.
09 Ноябрь 2009, 02:23 Steffen M. Boelaars @ m starling: It's what they call HDR, or High Dynamic Range. In this case I took 9 shots total. One 'default' exposure, and 4 more or less over exposed, and 4 more or less under exposed. In that way each picture highlights a certain lighter or darker part of the picture. With a tool called 'Photomatix Pro' you can combine all pictures and it takes from each shot the little bit with the right exposure information. The result is what you see here. Take a look at my HDR set, and the HDR flickr pool for more information, and for some nice (and a lot less nice :P ) examples.
