My favourite haunts in London (and my first attempt at a Memory Map). I lived here in 2002/2003 while I struggled through an MA at the Institute of Archaeolgy, UCL.
The map is from GetMapping.com
25 Март 2010, 08:59 MartyDev The area you've marked as The Brunswick Centre is actually the Royal Mail's Mount Pleasant Sorting Office. The church you speak of is St. Pancras church, the female pillars are caryatids - it's a lovely church.
25 Март 2010, 16:42 cravenmonket Great memory map, but the Brunswick Centre is well to the west of where you locate it - it's the thing that looks like two vertical white parallel lines, just bordering the west side of Coram's Fields. I used to live on Marchmont Street, right in the middle of this area. Wonderful part of London.
26 Март 2010, 11:53 Jon Block I went past the Brunswick Centre in a taxi the other day and was shocked to see it's been given a facelift and now looks like a luxury apartment building. I think the cinema has even been turned into a theatre or something (or maybe it was an art gallery). Shocking!Great memory map BTWHere's a random memory of mine (I used to live on Cally Road for a year)... there's a little street on your map just to the right of Euston that the local council got some school kids to think up a name for. The name they came up with was "Brill Place" :D
