I couldn't resist - I had to take a picture of London Eye.
I was setting up my tripod when security guy came and said that I'm not allowed to take pictures using the tripod. I had to have a permission. You can't get it 'just like that' from customer service (I tried) so I just moved a bit further down outside their premises and there you go.

06 Февраль 2010, 06:18 Daniel_C_C Very well done. The Security at the London can be a bit of a pain. I have taken photographs fairly late at night using a tripod right underneath the London Eye and security have not comented. i think it depends on how many people are around.

16 Февраль 2010, 10:00 baio Nice picture. What do you think about the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8? I was trying to decide between that and the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8. I got the Sigma in the end as it felt better built. It has some focussing problems though. Around 20% of the shots I have taken with it are a touch out of focus. Good results otherwise.

17 Февраль 2010, 13:26 le-spikey dimsumwasabipasta: Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 is ok but not very exciting. No problems with autofocus (unless it's very dark) and it's not that noisy. overall I would recommend it instead of kit lens.
17 Февраль 2010, 16:02 Catcch Excellent shot, love the pink tones. I took one last night using my bag and a post as a makeshift tripod and got away with it... Will bare it in mind when going back with a tripod!
